  • Potato omelette sandwich (bocadillo de tortilla de patatas)

The potato omelette sandwich has been a staple of Spanish cooking for decades. This delectable treat, a fantastic potato omelette, contains an entire icon that was created from the utmost simplicity. It was originally intended as a quick dinner using cheap ingredients like eggs and potatoes, but it has now evolved into one of the tapas with a distinctive name. Making this sandwich might serve as the beginning of a summer adventure or a quick meal.   • Brascada valenciana

The brascada is a popular sandwich in the Valencia area. Its main ingredients are «mantequetes» or bread rolls, beef fillet, slice of serrano ham and poached onion, but it is also usually have slices of tomato, a slice of cheese, depending on the diner.

Although it looks simple, the secret of its success lies in the choice of ingredients, using thinly sliced veal fillets from the hip or stifle area that will give a tender bite and the best quality Serrano ham we can afford, it’s recommended to use the Serrano ham raw without grilling it to respect its flavor to the maximum, but if we prefer we can pass it lightly on the grill.
