The Spanish Olive Oil Interprofessional Organization used the occasion of Expoliva, the sector’s global festival, to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Over those 10 years, the sector has experienced a true revolution. It was an opportunity to showcase the work that the sector has done over these years and celebrate it in the company of the associations that make up the industry, as well as governmental authorities, experts, and the media. The 10th anniversary celebration featured the participation of the president of the Spanish Olive Oil Interprofessional Organization, Pedro Barato. The writer and economist Fernando Trías also participated in the event, analyzing the achievements and challenges of this sector in the last decade. He highlighted the unprecedented technological and economic changes, as well as changes to management in agribusiness.
